A month or so ago I was able to take a prospective mooney owner up for a ride and thought since alot of us owners need to take the plane up for a spin every few days or so to keep the engines happy maybe others would be willing to take a potential mooneyspacer up for a ride or meet up with another mooney pilot for lunch or something. I thought it would be nice to have a thread to reference as a look up for active members who would be willing do this.

My name is Aaron and I'm located at Rochester, MN (krst) and I fly a very well maintained 1977 "J" with some new goodies and would be more than willing to take a potential mooney owner up for a spin....just send a PM.....very willing to help promote Mooney airplanes...:)

Mine is located at KRYY (Cobb County) which is a suburb of Atlanta, Georgia.  I would be willing to give a ride to prospective Mooney buyers.

I like the idea Aaron. I too took up a potential Mooney owner recently. The only problem I saw was that it took me an hour to clean up all the drool he left behind :) I'm based at N57, PM me...

I too would take up a prospective mooney owner.  I"m a 'C' owner based near Aaron in WInona, MN (KONA).

Aaron, I'll take you up on that lunch!  Several times in the past I have had lunch/dinner with guys from the RST flying club at the restaurant in EAU.  I would have been flying my Mooney or Ercoupe, any chance we have met before?

I've met a few other Mooneyspace members in N.O. and on my travels, quite interesting. Anyone coming down to New Orleans let me know I'm more than willing to meet up to discuss flying or any other mutually agreeable topic or just go have a beer and watch people walk around the French Quarter.

The Ovation is taking another potential future owner for a ride next Wednesday at 7B2 Northampton MA, always happy to help...  Thanks for the drool warning...

I've taken a guy up from Asheville, NC and he ended up buying a "C".   I'm located at 8A6 just East of Charlotte, NC.

We have 3 flying Mooneys located here, and one not flying.  Ready to treat someone else to the life of the FAST and FURIOUS !

I'm in the St. Pete - Clearwater area and I would love a ride. Although I have never flown in a

Mooney I'm looking at an E and will probably send a deposit tomorrow. Thanks in advance, Dan

I'm on the WV/OH/KY border, about 30 Mooney minutes east of Sportys. I've taken up prospective owners before. It's always fun seeing the look on a Piper pilot's face when I pull the throttle to idle on 1/4 mile final with a stand of trees between us and the (obscured) runway numbers . . . :-)

Next month is Community Day at KHTW, and I'll be giving rides again.

Ya'll come on down!

Lessee.  Do Mooney drivers like to fly their airplanes and show them off to others?

I'm in.  Check out my gallery.  If I am available, I am willing.  If anyone in the National Capital Region wants a ride in a Mooney, I'm there.  Maybe even Yves too.

One guy that I gave a ride to speaks of nothing else but finishing up his college and going straight into some sort of ATP program. His dad is behind it and I am sure he will do well.

Certainly add my name to the list. Dave, M20K, KCXL Calexico, CA, between Yuma and San Diego. d.a.martinelli@comcast.net

Maybe this needs to be a sticky topic with a compiled list of responders.

Recently, I posted that I would have a couple of days off in Bentonville, AR. A Mooney Space member here offered to buy me lunch and show me his plane. Although our schedules didn't work out I greatly appreciated the invite. I also appreciate the attitude people have here. As a guy who can't start to work on his PPL until Feb. 2014 I was very pleased that someone without knowing me would extend an invitation. I thank you all for fueling the flames of my desire to fly!!!  :)

Add my name to the list.  Any prospective Mooney buyer or aficionado in SoCal can contact me at my username at gmail.com.  I'm based (hangared, as I believe a tie-down for a Mooney near the coast is a mortal sin) at KLGB (Long Beach, CA).  I would be happy to take someone up to show them what Mooneys are all about.  FlyDave took me up in his J back in December 1211 and exactly three months later, to the day, I was signing my life away to become a proud Mooney owner.

I think the "RV grin" Van's talks about was actually invented by Al and Art Mooney.

I would also be willing to meet a fellow Mooniac for lunch.  I enjoy topics such as flying, current events, Breaking Bad, politics, religion and going for long walks on the beach.  Oops, wrong website.

Do you fly out of Barnes? If so, I think I saw your mooney out on the ramp, or taxiing in while I was guest flying / standing alert in F-15's up there... I wrote down a tail number but forgot to look it up....
