Since we have had some lessons learned or never again stories told here recently I figured a forum for “never again stories” borrowed from AOPA, would be appropriate. The intent would be to let others learn form our mistakes not to negatively criticize but to encourage those who have made mistakes to share them with others so that we all may be better pilots. What say the members of the board?

Honestly, I like the things with fewer sections the way it is now. I only check a few sections anyway, so having interesting tangents mixed into existing sections catches my attention. But adding more sections will just end up getting overlooked by me. My four half pennies.

I agree...edit them down to just a paragraph to start discussion as opposed spewing long winded, self sobbing stories like the back of AOPA. Be type specific and avoid the same old stories we've read 100 times. Maintenance events, Mooney performance, Mooney analysis......not the usual stupid pilot tricks already covered in the published mags.

N4352H,

I like your idea where we don't repeat the same situation. That would be the point of discussing it ONCE.

If we could learn and not repeat, that would be good!

Best regards,

Or one could preface the miscellaneous aviation forum topic with "Never Again - the day I ........."  a forum search with "Never Again" in the topic would show the posts.  If they gain traction they could always be moved into a newly created forum.....
