  1. KDHT has a fantastic FBO restaurant. I've landed there a couple times on trips to Durango and it gets ripe in the heat due to the stockyards.
  2. Papa X-Ray is officially sold. I flew her down to Don Maxwell yesterday, she passed with flying colors, and the new owner is flying her to N. Carolina today. He's already got a hangar and is starting his IFR soon so she will continue flying lots of hours. I put around 1100 great hours in the left seat. Adios girl, blue skies!
  3. Looks like I have my plane sold to a gentleman in N. Carolina at KMWK. We will be getting a pre-buy with Don Maxwell on Thursday and if all goes well he will be taking PX back on Friday. Is there anybody on the board, preferable in the Longview, Tx or Charlotte, NC area that would want to fly with the owner? He doesn't have his complex endorsement yet. I'll also check with Don and if all else fails I can fly him back and catch a tube home. Thanks.
  4. WetWingologists sealed my tanks 12 years ago and they are still leak free.
  5. Don Maxwell (KGGG) is a top notch MSC as many here can attest to. Locally I use Twelvestone Aviation (KASG), owned by John Gearheart, who is honest and good at what he does although not a MSC he maintains several Mooneys. I've used Don for several annuals and John for the others as well as small items that pop up throughout the year.
  6. As mentioned Durango La Plata is easy in and easy out. I was there last August and departed at gross weight. No issues as the runway is long and the terrain is flat if departing to the south.
  7. Well done. You seem to stay a couple hours ahead of me! I remember your post on hour 1000 or 1100 and I was lagging just behind at that point too. I should hit 1200 next month.
  8. I was in OKC a couple weeks ago and paid $3.05 at Sundance (KHSD). That's the cheapest I've seen since 2008.
  9. Plus 1 for Lulu's. The wife and I took the Mooney down to Gulf Shores for our 6th anniversary. Cool area and nice little airport.
