NICE.  Just fantastic the transformation.  Beautiful work.  Is anyone else enjoing the pics of the transformation?  Wow, what a beautiful job you are doing in transforming your vintage bird into a state of the art flying machine.  Thanks for your "labor of love".  I am really enjoying seeing your work...

Thanks everyone, so far I can only visualize what it will be like to fly my Mooney. 2 1/2 years is a long time to wait. That Mooney retro-fit interior I must admit is the icing on the cake. I feel so fortunate to have been able to pick this interior up when it become available. I have some more tweeking to do, and that will come later when I get my Mooney home.

Word of advise for anyone trying this in the future, don't be 700 miles away like I did during this process, next time I will take the wings off and trailer it home. I'm down to the short strokes now.

Congratulations, Eldon for an incredible job on your 201. Its the nicest one I have ever seen or heard of.

But another contender has just escaped the paint shop 2 weeks ago. It doesn't count, as its a '78 :), but it is a looker.  It does not have the panel of a 787 and the Starship Enterprise combined, as you do.

I'll see if I can get the owner on here.

The red and white airplane with the new paint in the picture above belongs to Jim Yeager.  I have seen it in person and it is a beautiful airplane.  It is top notch from the modern instrument panel/avionics, to the amazing interior and awesome paint.  By far one of the best Mooneys I have seen.

I second Jezzie's sentiment.  I did my rebuild project 1500 miles away from where I live.  I had to redo a bunch of work done by the original mechanics.  I subsequently found a 40 year old sheetmetal manager from Gulfstream who did sheetmetal work for me and did very nice work.  Like everything, its all about the people.  If you are not nearby, the mice will play if the mice are so minded.  Now the mice have to deal with 2 legal judgments against them.
