Title says it all.  I have read zillions of posts on MooneySpace, but not seen many owners or mechanics in the Kansas City area.

Even though Kansas City might be convenient I would make sure wherever you take it that they have Rocket Experience.

I have asked around the Rocket people previously, but not come up with much there either.  Got any suggestions?

I've never owned a Rocket but @aviatoreb and @Austin305Rocket  and @PeytonM and @Yooper Rocketman and @FloridaMan and @Cody Stallings and @SkepticalJohn and @Austintatious and @Rocket 305 and @Rocket_Driver and @Rocket305k and @Gatlin Gun and @RocketAviator and many others (https://mooneyspace.com/search/?q=rocket&quick=1&type=core_members) might have some insight.

I have communicated with some, but not all of these.  I'll reach out to the new ones you found.  Does that search pick up the word "rocket" in their profile?  I have tried something similar to search through all members, but couldn't get it to work.  Thanks!

EDIT:  I see now that it finds the word "rocket" embedded in their handle.

I am acquainted with the owner of the MSC as I am based at KLXT as well. I have not had any work performed by them but I quite frequently see other Mooneys there for service.

My local FBO, Kubick Aviation, worked on my Rocket for 17 years (including an engine OH), serviced one other Rocket regularly, and has a Mooney or two in their shop pretty regularly.  I'm based at KIMT, Iron Mountain, MI (in the U.P.).

No hill for a stepper -- just a few Mooney minutes away from Kansas City.  Actually, if I can get far enough ahead of the maintenance, it wouldn't bother me to fly up there.  Even at a relatively modest 180kt, it's only about 2.5 hours.  Thanks for the tip!

LXT would be easy.  Where on the field is the MSC?

Over by the self-serve gas. It is the first big hangar on the southwest corner

Boomer, I've used a couple different MSCs but they are not all equal.  I feel like that's obvious, but unfortunately for me, I had to learn that the hard way.

If your KC person doesn't workout, I strongly recommend going to the MSC in Wilmar, MN.  I used to live in Nebraska, used them, but used someone else after having moved to Virginia.  Big Big Big (keep going...Big) mistake.  Oasis Aero...talk to Eric.  They're also the same MSC who does the gas tank sealing "Weep no more"...fairly popular.

I plan to take my rocket there no matter where I live from now on out.  They're very good and I trust them...which is hard to find.

Good luck!

The other nice/cool thing about Wilmar is, “I have never seen so many Mooneys in one space. “

If I recall correctly, I don’t think they work on anything but Mooneys.

Sorry for the long delay.  Integrity Aviation in Kissimmee, FL (KISM) took my Rocket almost entirely apart and rebuilt everything. Zero squawks from the first day after assembly. John is super smart, has unshakable integrity and is experienced with the Rocket. I'd highly recommend him.
