Wine and ground school

A hypothetical question for those with encyclopedic knowledge of the FARs.

Say a ground instructor had a colleague who wanted a ground school lesson. If refreshments were served during that lesson would it be against the FARs for the student to log it? Is there any possible consequence for the instructor?

Apparently there was a DPE who’s DPE status was revoked over having a sip while virtually watching a WINGS presentation.

Case by case basis is going to be important…

Nothing more important for a student seeking knowledge, get it any way he can… learning and studying, there aren’t a lot of limitations…   The test show you that you know the material…

 

Back in the day, we drank beer and wine at lunch and go back to the office after that…

Today, if this is a work environment, it’s best to leave the booze out of the environment…

If it’s a logged training… this would be a bad idea…

If it’s your pilot friends hanging out discussing FARs at the bar…. Enjoy!  
 

Public opinion of beverages and important discussions are going to be contentious….

 

realistically, if you have to ask… you already know the answer…

 

Since we are looking for an FAR expert and what he knows about the rules and guidance….
