Stan Posted November 19, 2021 Report Posted November 19, 2021 It’s that time of year again. I just sent in my renewal form for my insurance (hear we go again). Let’s hope it is not the Christmas surprise I really didn’t expect. Age is 72, with Basic Med., Commercial, ASEL, with Instrument. Have a current Flight Review and IPC. In the last 12 months I flew 103 hrs. (as of 11/17), 15.8 hrs. dual. I have 246.5 hrs. M20J, 701.7 Complex, 1913.8 total time. 1989 M20J, hangared at KHEF, KAP 150 AP, 530 WAAS, GI275 AI, GI 275 HIS, GPSS, Stormscope, CGR-30P, etc., etc.. Last year: $2,284.00, with $125,000.00 ground and flight, $1,000,000.00 each occurrence and $100,000.00 each passenger. Some are just standard, but for discussion sake. Last claim was 04/20/2009, $79,000.00 (report attached, if interested). I think that covers everything, anyone have a guess as to the quote? 20090420 201JT.pdf Quote

flyboy0681 Posted November 19, 2021 Report Posted November 19, 2021 My dreaded time of year is not December but November when my homeowners policy renews. Down here in FLA it runs in the many of thousands. Quote
RobertGary1 Posted November 19, 2021 Report Posted November 19, 2021 Mine went down this year and I didn’t achieve any milestones. Quote
Stan Posted December 11, 2021 Author Report Posted December 11, 2021 Got my 2022 quote this week. Premium went up $22.00. $2306.00 for 2022 from $2284.00 for 2021. Could be worse! 1 Quote
PilotX Posted December 11, 2021 Report Posted December 11, 2021 Just submitted mine. Not due til March but they asked for the paperwork early. Fingers crossed that it is reasonable like yours. Quote
ArtVandelay Posted December 11, 2021 Report Posted December 11, 2021 Mine went up 8.5%, it’s now 1.6% of hull value. No milestones, less than a 100 hours due to lack of longer cross country trips because of rental car issues. Quote
MikeOH Posted December 12, 2021 Report Posted December 12, 2021 Up $28 from last year. I'm a pretty happy camper The previous couple of years were NOT kind. 1 Quote
Stan Posted December 12, 2021 Author Report Posted December 12, 2021 Have to agree with Mike, same scenario with me also. Quote

Only difference is an extra 120 hours of Bravo time that I didn't have during the first quote period. Pleased. Quote
Rwsavory Posted December 12, 2021 Report Posted December 12, 2021 Ours decreased by less than $100. I guess we’ve reached the new normal for the time being. Quote

Browncbr1 Posted December 14, 2021 Report Posted December 14, 2021 (edited) mine went up 13%.. QBE non-renewed me, so the most competitive alternative was Old Republic.. both my insurance and my shade hangar are now almost double what they were in 2017. Edited December 14, 2021 by Browncbr1 Quote
Skates97 Posted December 14, 2021 Report Posted December 14, 2021 Increased my hull coverage by $25k for additional avionics and a GFC500. Flew 170 hours and added on an instrument rating, decrease of 9.4% from 2020 rates. Quote

Right now I have ground only until the new engine goes in. I’m thinking of upping the Hull value up around $120k when the engine goes in Quote
