So for my old radios, I got three of these adapters from Aircraft Spruce so I can hook in some new RG-400 while still making a future upgrade to a newer COM-2 easier: https://www.aircraftspruce.com/catalog/elpages/delkin_11-17577.php

The issue is that my standard snap-ring pliers won't work to remove the old snap rings nor install the new ones; the prongs are too big! I talked too all three A&Ps on the field and none of their pliers / adapters were small enough.  Can anybody here point me in the right direction? My Google-fu has yet to find the right tool for this job and, while I am sure I could make it work picks, I have learned its usually wise to find the right tool to do the job right the first time versus screwing it up and having to buy stuff again....

Thanks!

Odd.... I know two of us have the harbor freight specials.... wondering if something about their "cheapness" is what is causing my issue.

I went to Lowe’s... to buy a set of snap ring pliers...

It came with a few different noses...

but all have the same size prongs...

One of these days I’ll find the right snap ring for my tow bar extension thing... :)

See if this helps...

@Baker Avionics Thanks for the part numbers!  Set ordered!

@Bob Weber  My neighbor across the street is an older guy with a 1920s rat rod.  I went over there during lunch today and asked him if he had something that would work....he had something exactly like your black plier that he used for his old Model T (I think?) carburetor and it worked!

Thanks everybody!
