Looking for Hangar in central Florida

Hi,

  I’m looking for a hangar near KBKV. (Brooksville, Fl). My Ovation is currently on a tie down and would like to get it out of the sun. Any airport within a reasonable driving distance would be great.

Zephyr Hills (KZPH) had some open a while ago, but I am unsure if they still do. A call probably would not hurt.

I have one at KLAL and have been on the list at Bartow for over a year with little to no upward movement.

I did call them Culver. They have a waiting list with no movement too. BTW, they are not shy with the hangar rent. $425.00. That would make it almost twice what I have paid at my old location in Maine.

There are some unbuilt lots there, buy one of those and build a hangar? Make sure there is room for me when I come down and visit, that’s my old stomping grounds.

That’s about average, further south it gets more expensive...$700+

spoiled here. I pay $140 per month for enclosed hangar at KSEM.  Unfortunately I am about to relocate and the new hangar is $300, still not bad but the CB in me likes the $140

5R4 Foley, Al.  Will be flying back and forth a lot and it’s taken me 2 years on the list for a hangar so I couldn’t pass it up

I pay $719/month at KFXE but includes palm trees in front for relief before flight.

The new owner of x05 is planning on building some hangars. Doesn’t help now but something to keep in mind for the future. I can give you the airport managers email if you want to dig deeper.

Not sure where Brooksville is exactly, but to get it out of the weather until you find something closer I bet we could probably fit it inside of my hanger.
