  1. This is tangentially related, but I had my plane at the Tampa Bay AirFest this weekend, which is free to the public. I tried to use the situation as a training opportunity, so when a kid grabbed the prop, I would (trying to be relaxed) explain that you should never move the prop on an airplane unless you want it to start, as it is possible that it could. Mostly the message was met well, but one woman got a little upset and asked incredulously "is there fuel in it?". I said of course there is. She responded "Isn't that unsafe" and I responded "not if you don't mess with it", to which, kinda to my surprise, she replied "Good point" and walked away. And now I have to share my favorite picture from the weekend, a group of cadets taking each others picture with my Chinese airplane. And to bring the post back to the thread topic, my point is that maybe stopping and talking to the walkers about how hard it is to see them, what the possible dangers are, and giving them options would help? They might surprise you like the lady in my story did me.
  2. I think I'm caught up on responses now, if I missed you, please ping me.
  3. It has come to my attention that a scammer is monitoring this thread and attempting to scam people that show interest. For your own peace of mind, please don't respond to anyone that initially contacts you from outside the forum, or inside, if it's not "salty".
  4. Sorry, Rotating beacon and pitot heat are gone already.
  5. Mark and Laura, please ping me if I don’t get back to you by Monday. I will be away, participating in the Tampa Bay AirFest this weekend. I flew the plane in yesterday afternoon and won’t fly it back home until Sunday.
  6. I still have the new one. I paid $325 for it a number of years ago.
  7. I would prefer to sell the whole door. Or the door whole. Whichever is more correcter.
  8. Yes, with exception of the flap cylinders
  9. I had to turn quite a few times, and I did it from underneath. Not to derail, but I have a set of pedals with the extensions installed already if someone is interested.
  10. I would greatly appreciate offers. I won't be offended, if we can't agree on value, then we both move on, no harm. I'm still disassembling and trying to organize this mess....
  11. They appear to me to be undamaged other than normal wear and tear. Give me an offer.
  12. alas, the air handlers are already spoken for. I might have what you need for the cowl flap system, but I'm not certain it's all together. The cowl was already removed when I got the plane back. I'm pretty sure I have the knob and cable, and probably the pushrods. But, I think part of that system is integral to the engine mount, is it not?
  13. Added wing levels parts and MAP / fuel pressure gauge
  14. As most of you know, we had an off field landing in our Mooney last year. http://www.kathrynsreport.com/2022/01/mooney-m20c-n79396-incident-occurred.html I acquired the salvage and have many parts available. I've begun the disassembly, and will be posting images of things that are available, but if you have need for a specific part, please reach out even if there is no picture for it. Initially, I will be asking for offers, but as time permits I will eventually put prices and better information on things. Any reasonable offers will be accepted. This is a bit of an "eating an elephant" situation, so I ask for patience and can't guarantee quick turnover, but if you need quick response I will try and prioritize your request. None of the listed parts has damage from the accident. All were 100% operational on last flight, but have not been tested since. Sales are "as is". More information or better pictures can be accommodated upon request. 15. That question seems to be for people that have options. I'm not finding much of anything for sale at all in the Bravo / Ovation series. Everything on Controller or trade-a-plane is sold except for the ridiculously overpriced one with ancient avionics. Honestly, I can work with any Bravo / Ovation as long as it's priced appropriately.
  16. Are you confusing the Ovation with the Acclaim? I'm not finding a big difference in pricing at all, but I'm finding more Bravo's on the market. For a few seconds....
  17. I have the garwin cluster out of my M20C if that's all you need let me know.
  18. Ha. Living in Florida I'm kind of leaning toward the Ovation. But we travel a lot, so the Bravo has it's advantages for sure.
  19. Our beloved N79396 was totaled on 1/1 when we had to make an emergency landing in an orange grove. Good news is we were not harmed, she protected us well, so we're shopping for a replacement / upgrade.
  20. Some will probably disagree with me, but flying my C for hundreds of hours in cruise with a EDM-900 engine monitor, and G5's showing TAS, I could never see any noticable difference in airspeed with the flaps closed. I also never had trouble keeping the temps up on a decent. Personally, after playing with them on a bunch of cross countries, I left them open all the time for the last 400 or so hours. YMMV
  21. A second rebuild of the master cylinder resolved my problem. The “shake-proof” washer was not providing enough pressure to engage the check valve. After bending it so that it provided sufficient pressure the master cylinder is now working perfectly again.
  22. Is that a replacement for a 850012-501? I don’t see anything correlating the two.
  23. What about the internals? Are you fabricating everything but the orings or using other off the shelf parts?
  24. You didn’t say duplicate, that’s why I asked. Your message was fairly cryptic.
