I am looking at upgrading to Rosen visors while my 67F is in the interior shop. Chief Aircraft has a range of 1968-1999. Has anyone else upgraded or have advise? I have the original visors

Thank You!!

I looked at them at Oshkosh. I think they will work with a 67 but I would contact them with pictures of your mounting point and get them their input.

They are nice, but many they are PRICEY!

They also are installed under an STC and the associated paperwork. I am sure there is a reason for that requirement, but I would love for someone to explain it to me.

I got them when a mechanic cracked my pilot side visor with his noggin.  They were same cost as factory replacement.

Overall, they are nice to have, but they are *big.*  There are two set-screws that you must be careful with so they don't ding up the headliner.

en-route, being able to block a substantial part of the glare coming in the side window is the biggest benefit, i've found.

let me know how it works out - I don't have the attachment points outboard to make em work...and I think thats the only way the rosen visors work.  my originals were attached to the center post.

I had them but they would fall off unexpectedly in the lap.

Well don’t trim the suction cup!

Thinking the trim remark was for the shade not the suction cup

My remark was tongue I cheek :)

Doesn’t Lasar have a set of their own design?

Yes they do. The issue is they are back ordered from the supplier with no firm date on delivery.

Take a look at the ones in my albums, that my hangar elf built. I have plans for them, or could turn out another set.

Mooney1, did you ever figure it out?  I also have a 67F with the mount only on the center bar.  I looked at the trim and don't see an easy way to install them.  I sent Rosen an email and they said the 67 was on the STC for them.

Welcome aboard 61JK.

What made the ram mount/visor useless for you?

I have found all things that require vacuum, have a tendency to fall off after about 10k’ of altitude...

Best regards,
