  1. Thanks for the input!! Replaced the VR system working great. 14.2v all day long.
  2. Yes, I sold 35N March of last year and have missed it everyday. I have acquired a G that I have just finished restoring. Voltage regulator on order and one wire was noticed suspect.
  3. Checked the voltage on the meter earlier. Not really that silly to replace something that is 53 years old. Thanks
  4. Thanks for the ideas. Went out to troubleshoot this morning and everything worked normally. Weird!! Found 1 wire that looked like it needed some help so will remedy that and replace the voltage regulator. Thanks
  5. During run up yesterday (68G) and noticed a slight discharge on the Amps gauge (-10). No warning light installed. No breaker popped. So I recycled the Alt breaker and the gauge indicated a +40 for about a second or two then returned to a negative reading. Thoughts?

  8. This line on the airspeed assumes you are looking inside. If you are so out of wack and don’t understand to push the nose down to prevent/break a stall then looking at an instrument inside probably won’t do you much good. Just my opinion from a 4K dual given instructor.

  12. I used a Plane Plastics kit to restore a 152 a few years ago and found the pieces fit really well with minor trimming. I guess YMMV

  14. Descend at 500 fpm wot and 2500rpm, adjust as mp rises. I plan to enter the 45 at traffic pattern alt and reduce power to slow on the downwind leg. Never heard of this other technique of pulling the power way back on descent. Always thought flying was to get you there fast! To each their own

  16. Just found out that I get to do this on my F now.
  17. I use Aeroshell 15W50 with avblend. Change the oil every 25hrs or 3 months which ever comes first. No issues here.
  18. Is your step and landing gear fully retracting? Just a quick thought.
  19. My new interior is finally completed!! I am amazed beyond belief!!!! There are still nagging issues though, all I will say on a public forum is research your shop thoroughly and I mean thoroughly!! I have added the before-during-and after photos. For those following the thread about the Rosen visors, it was a very simple remove and reinstall just as advertised. No, I did not do the SB on the insulation, it has new windows installed just this past spring and it lives in a hangar.
  20. Picked up the plane last night. The Rosen was a true remove and replace. Will post pictures soon
  21. The interior shop told me it was a true remove and replace. I have not seen it yet. Pickup is Friday. I will post pictures of before during and after of the project.
