DonMuncy Posted August 19, 2016 Report Posted August 19, 2016 It is my understanding, based on pictures and my memory, that Oregon Aero uses two or three different densities and thicknesses in different places on the seat. That formula is what I would like to have. 1

That formula is what I would like to have. That's most likely proprietary information, part of what sets them apart from the competition. On the other hand, please share what you do and how well it works. Eventually we will all hit in a combination that works for many of us. Won't be too long til mine are ready for new foam. They probably are already, I just disguise it with a gel pillow so I can see over the cowl. 1

How it normally works and most comfortable... The core and base layers are the most dense, followed by a soft outer layer of foam. I'd go denser all the way thru. It will get softer overtime so hopefully it will last longer. -Matt

No clue...Maybe I will buy some foam and do the pilot's seat/have done by Lynn who did the outer replacement/refurb on the seats...Life is too short to not be comfy in the rumpus while flying fast on a little gas...Right? 1
MyNameIsNobody Posted August 20, 2016 Report Posted August 20, 2016 What is the foam thickness in inches on your seats that were re-done with the memory foam guys?
Andy95W Posted August 20, 2016 Report Posted August 20, 2016 For seat foam (Confor Foam) I can highly recommend these folks. Husband and wife, extremely nice people, I always make time to talk with them at Oshkosh. You can pick their brains for ideas and design your own seat foam. http://www.seatfoam.com/aviation.htm 1

mike_elliott Posted August 20, 2016 Report Posted August 20, 2016 Mike, are those Jaeger plastic side panels? I am considering buying a set in beige. Whatever your interior they really look sharp! I will get the armrest upgrade for the pilot position only because on long flights I do notice some left arm fatigue. Yes they are, I did have the armrests. Just not in that photo. There are more in my photo gallery that show them

ryoder Posted August 20, 2016 Report Posted August 20, 2016 Marauder, we all know how your seats got broken...

I thought we weren't going to discuss that I gave one of your girlfriends a ride. Also, is your girlfriend flying around with that guy who is having problems with a right turning tendency?

The thing I am trying to understand is how the pilots seat is cracked. I know you didn't let her fly it. But the alternative is painful.
