Oh, boy.....

Wait until OSHA, and all the consummer protection agencies start adding safety devices.  It'll never fly again!

What are a few lacerated body parts in the interest of aviation?

Well he had the right idea at first with plenty of guards and skids but it couldn't fly.

I like the concept but it needs some development though.

Two powered parachute backpacks hooked to a seat!

You defiantly don't want to fly any higher then you want to crash.

I always wanted one of those backpacks for inline skating...

Only a few ideas come to mind...

1) Too high is a problem... (Not the fall, just the sudden stop)

2) Too low is a problem... (Shattered pieces of composite props flying everywhere at a few hundred mph)

3) Slow in ground effect is his best chance of living...

Suggestion: add a tail. That way he will see his demise arising.

Reminder: Keep both eyes open for the above suggestion to work.

Suggestion2: get bigger field.  Back yard airport is going to get costly.

Sugestion 3: diet enough to be able to afford adding training wheels.

sugestion 4: Kevlar / bullet proof pants...

Carry on.  You are almost a winner of the Darwin prize for aviation!

He has never flown a quad copter that lost a motor.  They fall amazingly fast.   being able to sync the rpms is hard with engines.  Easier with electric motors
