I hitched a ride with a Bo-driver this morning and went to the EAA Pancake Breakfast at KBGF. I was amazed at the turn out. Musta been 150 aircraft there, out of all those there were only two Mooneys, they have the breakfast the first Saturday morning of every month and I plan on going next time bar nothing comes up. Was interesting having so many aircraft all trying to land at the same place. I guess all you can eat may have had something to do with it.

Oh, I don't know, isn't there a third one out in the dirt around there somewhere?;)

Thank you for stopping in!  Apologies as I had to leave early that morning and did not get to stick around for the breakfast.  I believe I heard the final count was actually only 84 aircraft that came for the breakfast this month, but we typically do see a good turnout for it.  We also typically discount the avgas price until noon on that day as well.  You're always welcome back!

No.  That was cut up into 5 pieces that evening, loaded on a trailer, and is out of my sight.

FIVE pieces? Did they hack off both wings and both horizontal stabilizers? OMG . . .

Where in TN is Winchester? It sounds familiar, but I can't place it.

1 cut at the firewall, 1 cut behind the cabin, and 1 cut just in front of the tail surfaces...ok, so 4 pieces.  But if you count all the debris we picked up, there'd be plenty of pieces.  The wing section actually stayed together.  Here's a picture of it on the trailer:

Winchester is in that area that is about an hour from Chattanooga, Huntsville (AL), and Murfreesboro.  Fairly close to the Alabama line.  Google will help you ;)

Yup, just south of Tullahoma.

I got to thinking about it and it WAS 5 pieces.  I forgot the top was already cut off to extricate someone.  That counts, right?

What a sad ending for this plane. Sounds like it was salvaged from long neglect only to be sold to a total dumb ass and trashed. Every year the Mooney community gets a little smaller... :(

Someone needs to offer low carb options like egg beaters omelets and turkey bacon.

Only in the blue states! Down here you better be ready to eat hog and hot cakes!

I'm a red state ex Yankee card carrying Reagan Republican that loves pancakes but has to keep the body fat low. I eat MetRx protein pancakes sometimes at home.

Ain't no such thang as "ex-Yankee." You're an alright guy from what Ah kin tell here on the internet, but that's an inherited condition that takes a generation or two to clean out. ☺
