ncdmtb Posted April 5, 2014 Report Posted April 5, 2014 Any recommendations for which E6B App for an iPad is best? Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
Ned Gravel Posted April 5, 2014 Report Posted April 5, 2014 I use the My E6B app. It has a day/night soft switch on the main panel and has all of the standard E6B bits and pieces. Very easy to use.
Cabanaboy Posted April 6, 2014 Report Posted April 6, 2014 FlightPlan app (has weight and balance as as well): http://www.warbredstudios.com/flightplan/flightplan.html
trey Posted April 12, 2014 Report Posted April 12, 2014 I like PFMA E6B the best. It's an iPhone app, but works fine on iPad in 1x or 2x mode. https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/pfma-e6b/id323662975?mt=8 One of the simplest user interfaces I've experienced amongst the E6B apps.
midlifeflyer Posted April 12, 2014 Report Posted April 12, 2014 I bought the Sporty's app (there are both iOS and Android versions) . The the "real" E6B, with all the flight planning available online and in apps, I use it very rarely, but it definitely covers what I need. One of the nice things is that you can set up a set of "favorite" calculations. The top of my list is the one for calculating climb and descent restrictions ("cross XYZ at or below 3000'")
