Just got my annual finished.    Flew down to Santa Maria to Artcraft Paint to have them take a look at the plane.    Chances are pretty good I'll be taking it to them this fall for a full repaint and interior.

They painted my plane, very happy with it!

I sold my Cessna to a guy named Carl. He is building time for a flying job. He was out of control last night.

That would be very impressive if his flight plan was KCHD-->A39.

Some recent flying related pictures.

My Mooney with a Blackfly from https://pivotal.aero down at Byron (C83)

San Francisco from the air on a beautiful day

Garmin Math:    200 KTAS + 12 KT tailwind == 215 KT groundspeed....   It was a worse discrepancy on a different flight but I hadn't thought to take a picture.

In my home area the Arrowleafs are blooming.   It doesn't show up as well in the picture as it does in real life, but the hills are really pretty right now.

It's people like this that make me realize how much I haven't done.

So, apparently you can write a freehand notation on the chart with ForeFlight that will track any chart motion or scaling. So you can just write on ForeFlight and then just fly the lines. Much easier than the old days when you had to make a flight plan and fly it precisely.

I just tried the pen icon on the main screen. It does exactly what is needed. Now all I need is good penmanship.

Spokane to Carson City for a visit with the parents/grandparents.  15,000’ most of the way at 175ktas and 10.4gph.  Awesome airplanes!

IFR and had to stay low for icing across Washington, but Real pretty descending across Reno near Pyramid Lake and Blackrock “airport”.

Commute to work after a great family graduation event and ahead of some inbound storms to western MT...

Nice to be able to go as high as you need to go.

Absolutely! Huge blessing of the turbos. That was only 14k, but 17k-190/210 on way back as helpful.

The terrain is fascinating, but sometimes it follows me up ...

Sometimes??? When I went to Cody, terrain above me was constant, until well east of my homeward fuel stop in Gillette . . .

Then again, I was in my C with my wife's baggage and a couple bags from my friends in a 172.

Flew to Munich with family, to see some German friends and watch UEFA football cup: Paris PSG did win football final, ahem soccer final not NFL :D

We also visited few museums (Schleißheim, Dutches, BMW), lot of engines & propellers enough to keep me and kids busy and wife bored. The return flight Munich-Paris was a long way with 30kts headwinds and lot of weather avoidance, however, the Mooney always delivers back home, this time the Europe football cup is back home !
