Need to replace or overhaul my attitude indicator and got to looking at autopilot compatibility if I went to an AV30 or a G5. Talked with TrueTrak and they said Mooney should be approved soon. Also found AeroCruz at Sarasota Avionics. Sound good.  Have an informal quote on Garmin for two G5s and autopilot 21k to 25k. Just seeing what my Mooney buddies are doing.  I still have working Britain accutrak. Call me a CB but it works. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to all

I'm watching this thread closely. Honestly, I've given up on TruTrak, and am getting despondent for Dynon getting approved . . . I have the same informal quote for two G5s and whatever AP goes with them, but for that money I hoped to install a full Dynon SkyView and AP . . . . .  :(

I’m in a J and just shelled out a deposit on the dual G5’s and GFC500. Is it expensive? Yes, but I had to ask myself who will likely be around to service my autopilot in the next 5 years? Garmin or Century? I think it’s just the nature of this business unfortunately…. Having said that, an autopilot that has worked on 1980 technology for 40 years is pretty amazing.

I recently flew a 182 with a GFC500, dual G5 and a 430W.  It was pretty amazing.  I'm currently getting a gps and dual G5s installed in my F.  An engine monitor is next and plan on installing the GFC500 after the engine monitor.  If you go Garmin, and there will be those that poo poo Garmin, I don't think you would be disappointed in the performance of the GFC500.

Talk to Duncan Aviation before giving up on the TruTrak.   They've pretty much taken on support, etc., for Mooneys.     I ordered one a little bit ago, delivery is estimated at months out.   I'm fine with that, since deliveries are actually trickling out now.    We'll see.

Did the GFC500 with yaw dampener in 2019 when both our King HSI and KAP-150 autopilot broke at the same time.  Would 100% do it again.
