PEDRO Posted March 10, 2021 Report Posted March 10, 2021 Hello I have an M20K s/n 25-0446. I’m in need of the part number of the fuel transducer, it measures the gals per hour shown on the manifold pressure guage thank you Pete
carusoam Posted March 11, 2021 Report Posted March 11, 2021 If looking to buy one new... Dan at Lasar.com is the goto guy of Mooney parts... he is also pretty good with part numbers... Often, part numbers can be ascertained from the parts manual... Parts manuals have been E-ed, and are available from Mooney... PP thoughts only, not a mechanic or parts sales guy... Best regards, -a-

Your manifold pressure transducer measures your manifold pressure. Your fuel flow transducer shows you gallons per hour on your Hoskins or Shadin or JPI or EI meter. Which do you need?
gsxrpilot Posted March 12, 2021 Report Posted March 12, 2021 You probably need the fuel flow transducer. They go out pretty regularly on the M20K's. They are readily available from Aircraft Spruce or your favorite aviation parts vendor. They are not a Mooney specific part.
theflyingdoctor Posted March 12, 2021 Report Posted March 12, 2021 I too need a fuel pressure transducer. Thanks for the info! :)
A64Pilot Posted March 12, 2021 Report Posted March 12, 2021 I’m thinking if it’s a combo manifold / fuel flow gauge, it’s actually a pressure transducer, most combo gauges are actually pressure gauges marked in GPH as pressure can be used to determine fuel flow, not as accurately as an actual fuel flow transducer, but accurate enough

The OP @PEDRO is looking for a fuel FLOW transducer for an M20K which has a Continental TSIO360 engine. Several posts lower down, @theflyingdoctoris looking for a fuel PRESSURE transducer for an M20J which has a Lycoming IO360 engine. 1
theflyingdoctor Posted March 13, 2021 Report Posted March 13, 2021 Yes, i meant re info as where to get parts... learning one thread at a time ..
gsxrpilot Posted March 13, 2021 Report Posted March 13, 2021 Any parts house will have either of these transducers. So any A&P ought to be able to make a phone call and have one on the way. Aircraft Spruce likely has them.

Of it’s the electronic FP gauge that sender is a little more difficult to procure I think. Out of production. FF transducers are easy. The Shadin had a large K-factor, an EI Red Cube is a good substitute. 1
