carusoam Posted December 11, 2017 Report Posted December 11, 2017 WC, That is Quite the creative video! Nicely Done. How else can you make an LED bulb actually interesting? Best regards, -a- 1 Quote

Shadow puppets on the hangar wall or silhouettes of naked young ladies dancing in front of it. The later might get me kicked off of Mooney Space though. So instead, you’re stuck with my mug explaining why I bought the thing. Edited December 11, 2017 by Whiskey Charlie 3 Quote

Seriously, nice video, makes me want to get one of those lights. 1 Quote

PTK Posted December 11, 2017 Report Posted December 11, 2017 Very nicely done. Thank you Whiskey Charlie! I’m seriously thinking about the HX version of these lights. Curious why you didn’t’ go for the pulsating ones... 1 Quote

I probably should have gone that route but as bright as the light is, it seems like it would be hard to miss even if it weren’t pulsating so I decided to stay with the less expensive version. 2 Quote

Yes, I was going to ask you the same question. Thanks Quote
Guest Posted December 14, 2017 Report Posted December 14, 2017 I thought that Alex “Raptor” posted a non approved version that had similar results for a fraction of the money. Clarence Quote
Raptor05121 Posted December 14, 2017 Report Posted December 14, 2017 His is about 6-7,000 lumens whereas mines about 4,500. So quite a bit brighter, plus his has taxi lights in it so it lights up the sides better and has a thicker beam, and more candlepower in the hotspot. 1 Quote
ArtVandelay Posted December 14, 2017 Report Posted December 14, 2017 It really is impressive. For $650, it should be. Yowza. For those with 4 wing mounted par 36...its 4x350=$1400...Add the Orion position, strobes and you can spend $3000 on LED lights. Quote
kevinw Posted December 28, 2017 Report Posted December 28, 2017 Thanks for sharing. I replaced my incandescent bulb with the Whelen Parmetheus (not the plus) about 3 years ago. While it much better with little electrical draw, it's nothing like what I see in your video; that's really impressive. I've been thinking about replacing it and the Aeroleds Sunspot like you have is at the top of my list. From the research I've done this seems to be the brightest available. I just haven't been able to get past the $650 price tag but after watching your video I think I just did. 1 Quote
