Austin to Cameron 50's Cafe on Saturday 12/5 1200

Mmmm Mmm. Ok all you Texas Wing Mooney's, it's time for some lunch!

There's a brand new 50's cafe a short walk from the airport in Cameron Tx (T35) and we've got a big group flying over there for lunch on Saturday December 5th about noon. The plan is to all meet at Austin Executive (EDC) about 1100. We'll do a quick brief, load any co-pilots looking for rides and head 20 minutes NE for some lunch.

Hmmmm. Might be able to grab a bite and still make it home in time for the SEC Championship game (Tide vs. Gators). Doesn't look like we can do an element landing as the runway's only 50' wide but perhaps some of the formation group could fly in together?

Sure!  But then we'd likely not be invited back anytime soon. Plus I'd have to fill up my smoke-oil tank.

We've got 9-12 planes so far, so it should be a good time! Im trying to reserve some table space but we'll see. Paul, Im buying your lunch if you can make it!

Oh good for you guys. I think this kind of socializing thing is great.  Please post your future trips here so I can pick up on them . My planes down for an overhaul and I got to go work cattle at my family's ranch in South Texas this weekend or I would wonder over with you, hope you have a good time.

I'm planning on attending too. Some other non-Mooney folks I know are also talking about going... hope we don't overwhelm them.

I'll aim for the EDC meetup, but we'll see.

Something I did for my 150/152 group I was pretty active in was build a "Texas Roster" with e-mails/phone numbers to make meet ups simpler. Do we have anything like that?

Is the lunch fly-in still on? The weather's looking pretty "iffy". I may try to meet up at T35 to meet some of the Austin crew if the scud run doesn't force me too low.

If seating's not available no big deal; I'm just looking for an excuse to warm up the oil.

It all hinges on whether I can postpone the outdoor Christmas decorating 'til Sunday. Working on that.

Here's the sheet so far for lunch. Space on the ramp will be pretty tight, so just be prepared to park in the grass, etc. I have a full whack for lunch already, but for those of you who would like to join for lunch, please let me know the following asap and I will try and make space for you:
