As I fly around the country, and when I hear another Mooney I write down the tail number out of curiosity and thought I would share the tail numbers with the group in case someone recognizes them and reminisce about their trip.

N460DP - heard it on the way to the Masters last year somewhere in Memphis Center area

N643RJ - Flying to Monroe, La.

N9462M - on the way to KRFG

N1026F - same trip on the way to KRFG

N5291E - KAEX to KRBD

N201CK - KAEX to KSSF (San Antonio)

N133CL - Leaving KSSF (I think)

I was at KTTD last weekend flying out of Gorge Winds. And N1073B was about to take some people up for a scenic flight, last I saw them they were headed up the Sandy River. It was a beautiful M20A. Hope they appreciated the plane, as much as the sights.

i too keep a running list of Mooney's in a spreadsheet i keep with me when I fly. Have some 60 Mooneys that i have ran accross or know on MS or flown a formation flight clinic or the Mooney Caravan or have stopped by 5T6 and stayed with us.

Have had over 11 Mooniacs stay or been guests in our home over the past couple years on thier way to somewhere and met even more.

Several from here on MS. 2 weeks or so ago Mooneychief, couple months before that stinkbug, Yves & wife, Ed & wife, Yoda & wife, Pinto, Sandman, CFII, Jim Peace, Cowboy, N9207A, and many others... i know there are several i missed but you get the idea...

This group of Mooniacs have been such a blessing to meet and get to know!

Any Mooniac in the area of 5T6 / El Paso let me know and if anyway possible we'll meet up!

Fly safe all

It was very kind of you and Billie to welcome us at your place. Diane and I had very good time in El Paso. Thanks again.

I heard several during my travels from LA to the Bay Area and PHX last weekend. Over 13hrs running back and forth. Airplane did great, no squawks. I did unfortunately miss the PRB functions. ABQ center had a hard time hearing an east bound Mooney out of PHX Monday evening, I tried to realy.

7164v was the only one I wrote down.

I see several Mooneys each month here in Page and when I do I try to go over and meet them

but I've not kept a record. Maybe I should. If any of you get here, I'm tied down at

the Jet Center or in the big hangar at American Aviation. They can find me at both places.

Let's have lunch.

Lacee, it was great meeting you at 5T6. Since that flight I have flown to PA and back to AR. We are in Branson this weekend and St Louis next weekend.

I always enjoy hearing and meeting Mooney owners. Met one on a fuel stop in KY. He is in the process of selling N6535U and moving up to a J model.

I should start jotting down the numbers when I hear them. It's not too often that I meet any. I do get to see a number of Mooneys when I visit LASAR but seldom meet their owners. I think a Mooney is a bit more of a rare bird out west. I wonder how many Mooney owners are also Mooney space members

In the "small world" category, I was flying from Atlanta to Denver a few years ago, and right around Memphis I heard another Mooney come on the line and realized it was the guy who sold me the J, flying in his newly-renovated Encore from Nebraska to his home in Florida. We got off freq and talked for a few minutes.  But dang if four days later, back in Memphis airspace, we came across each other again and had a good chat.  That was quite a fun coincidence.
