bjoseph604 Posted November 26, 2014 Report Posted November 26, 2014 I need a new pilots seat (frame) to complete an interior refurb project on my 1975 M20F. After upholstery was removed it was found that the frame was cracked and buckled and needs replacement. Anyone have one they want to get rid of for a reasonable price? Or know where I can find one? tony Posted November 26, 2014 Report Posted November 26, 2014 aren't the pilots and the copilots seats are the same? Quote
KSMooniac Posted November 26, 2014 Report Posted November 26, 2014 Try LASAR... they might possibly repair yours as well. Quote
1964-M20E Posted November 28, 2014 Report Posted November 28, 2014 I have front seats from a 66E and a 64E Quote
Steve65E-NC Posted November 28, 2014 Report Posted November 28, 2014 I sent a bent and broken lower front seat frame from a J off to Lasar and got back a proper, Â rewelded, repainted, Yellow Tagged, repair. Quote
N201MKTurbo Posted November 28, 2014 Report Posted November 28, 2014 When I was re doing the interior on my M20F I found the same thing. The upholstery shop gave the seat to the local sheet metal guy and he made it as good as new for a few hundred bucks. Much cheaper then buying a new one and if you buy a used one it will probably be cracked too. Quote

The trim shop doing the leather had a local welding repair and brace the broken tubing. Quote
