Bob_Belville Posted September 22, 2014 Report Posted September 22, 2014 Yves, Chiefaircraft sells the 6.00-6 for 189,95 USD, including freight, in lower 48 states. (I don't know if that's the lowest price out there.) but I suppose you don't expect to sell them outside Canada. Quote
yvesg Posted September 22, 2014 Author Report Posted September 22, 2014 Bob, I'll match Chiefaircraft price or better. I did look on Ebay and aircraft spruce and went a bit lower. Did not know about them. Yves Quote
Alan Fox Posted September 26, 2014 Report Posted September 26, 2014 I have a set of these on my Bonanza , these are the best and worth every penny... Quote

They have two different types of 6.00-6 6 ply and the ones you quoted are not the same. There are a few guys who contacted me about them and would anyone know the rules for goods shipped from Canada to USA when USA manufactured? I would not want a poor fellow to be nailed with import taxes or brokerage fees. I am already taking a hit with the $70 shipping cost. Having a tax on top would not make this a good deal for anyone. Guest Posted October 5, 2014 Report Posted October 5, 2014 Yves, Just like when importing items from the US to Canada, there will be some form of tax as well the carrier will have customs paperwork and fees. UPS and FED EX aren't shy, budget 50-100 on top of shipping. Clarence Quote
fantom Posted October 5, 2014 Report Posted October 5, 2014 Sounds like you need to sell to another Canadian. Quote

I had them delivered to Ogdensburg accross the St-Lawrence river and drove to cross the border. I told the custom officer the truth that I won them. They made me pay the tax on their value. The tax is probably not that high going to USA. I will call them on Monday to find out what we are up against. Yves Quote

Aerodon Posted October 5, 2014 Report Posted October 5, 2014 It's not the tax you have to worry about, is the cost of fedex / ups brokerage. Someone has to process the import paperwork, expect to pay $50-100 for the brokerage, and the cost of shipping (which, because it is international, is higher than you would normally expect to pay). Yves could drive it back across the border, declare it as returning goods (assuming they are made in the USA) and ship from there? Don Quote
