MHemperly
Well i'm new to the forum... kind of been lurking for a while. My girlfriend and i bought a Mooney M20E Super 21. It's a 1966 with 50 hours on engine and prop. panel and interior were done last year and the paint was done in 1999 but is still a 9 out of 10. so far we love the airplane and have logged many hours (about 30) since we bought it on september 28th of this year. We bought it from a guy in Wisconsin and took our first trip in it flying home to Sunny southern California. I've attached some pictures for you guys to enjoy and i hope to connect and learn from all of you. hope all is well with everyone and cant wait to fly with some of ya'll. Bob_Belville
Mike, nice looking plane with a real clean panel! It doesn't get better than a '66E! Interesting configuration. Your ser # is just 47 earlier than mine (929) which also was built in late '65. I note you have the newer electric gear and the earlier manual step retraction, both of which are odd for that era. Must be a story there...

Matt Michael
I've been lurking for a while too, my girlfriend and I are very close to pouncing on a Mooney. Yours has a particularly nice panel for that vintage. I'm taking off in an hour to go look at a 63 E model. Your post is very inspiring! Htwjr
Reminds me of George Jones corvette song. "She was hotter than a two dollar pistol, she was the fastest thing around, long and lean every young man's dream, she turned every head in town." Very nice plane too. MHemperly
WOW! Warm welcomes, thank you guys you're awesome! Can't wait to get to know some of you! @buster1 I will let you know about the spark plug cradle @mike_elliott the plane and the previous owner are very nice. It was his baby that's for sure @bob_belville that's interesting... Our planes were on the line at the same time, very cool. The gear is electric but my step is vacuum and the crank is the emergency gear extend. Is yours the step crank? @rbridges no my gf doesn't have her license but she loves flying with me. @matt Michael pull the trigger man! But do your homework on whatever you find. You will love it! @htwjr that's classic!! Hilarious @9495V I am based at KVNY
