My old Encore is back on the market again... I stumbled across it on Controller yesterday.

I glassed this bird back in 2010, adding the G500 and the EDM930, and also the PS Engineering Bluetooth audio panel. I kept the Garmin 530/430 pair. The current owner has apparently added the Garmin 650/750 stack, extended tanks and a 3-bladed prop. Also replaced the TKS tank. (Anyone have any idea why that would be necessary?)

I thought it was pretty sick when I glassed it, but this owner really gilded the lily!

Yes it is!  I'd rather have that than almost any other Mooney out there.

Do you recall what the useful load was?  The MT prop should've resulted in a pretty good weight savings off the nose, and perhaps out of the tail if there were some charlie weights back there.

I think it was around 860 lbs; 450 after filling the tanks.

Wow, even with the Encore's higher gross weight?

Parker's 252 converted to an Encore ended up with >1000 lb useful load, so I'm surprised a "real" Encore is so much heavier.  TKS is surely to blame for part of it, but I thought that was only 40-50 lb penalty (not including fluid).

Would love to swap, but don't think the financials would work. BTW, did speed test yesterday at 10,500 N,E,S,W during BFR/IPC. Myself, instructor, 50 gallons fuel, 4.5 gallons TKS. Saw 170 true.

Wow, I wish this plane had been available when I bought my K. In the end after a new interior, paint, tanks, glass panel, I'll be so deep into the plane, I can't sell it to get this one. Nice plane. Ray
