Nose Gear Part ID Help

Can someone please help me ID this part from the nosegear of my 86 252 K model.  I think it’s part 27 from the attached IPC picture but the diagram is killing me.  It’s two heim joints screwed together.  Steering is ok right now but my IA showed me how these were most of the slop, so he wants them available next time it’s on jacks.

Could you take them off, tighten then a turn towards each other and reinstall? Or is the slop inside the holes at each end?

Yes, 27, but it's essentially just two spherical rod ends connected together.   Those are generally standard parts, so if you can figure out what each part is you can just replaced the rod ends.  Sometimes those have the part number on them, or you can take the dimensions and figure out what it is.

Unfortunately it’s the actual holes  in the joints.

Strangely, the parts are pretty easily available and not that pricey!

Did you try replacing the bolts? Sometimes the bolt shank wears more than the hole in the ball.

No, but I will get new bolts for that.  I didn’t realize they wear as well.  We just looked up there with it on jacks and wiggled it, but it’s ok right now so we didn’t take it apart.  It was my first annual with this airplane and we had enough other things to lighten my wallet.

When the time comes you will need more than the rod ends

There are bushings and shims in #31 that you will more than not need. 

When on jacks and wiggled the nose steering will show you what is worn.
