I want to remove an old backup single deck King VRO Nav that I haven’t used for years. Does anyone make a tray to fill the hole to set your cellphone in? Or even just a plate I guess to cover up the whole?

The display doesn’t work, doesn’t seem worth replacing if VOR are going to be discontinued in the near future…

Although I do not have an answer to your question, VOR's are not being completely discontinued.  The FAA is developing the MON with select VOR's remaining as back up if GPS outages occur.  They would allow for station to station navigation to continue as a back up.  So it may be wise to have the ability to use this back up if ever needed.

I’ve suggested to a few people who were redoing their panels and just blocking off large chunks of radio rack space, to fabricate a glove box. Nobody has yet. I don’t know about you guys, but storage space in the cockpit is kind of precious. I could use more places to put pens, paper, wires, phones, snacks ect.

I think there is an opportunity for someone to make some standard sized glove boxes to install in the panel, if nobody is making them now.

There’s no room, there’s other boxes you need for a G3X installation they’re installed behind the right radio stack (at least in my installation).
Of course I didn’t ask them to get creative with other locations.
