  1. I want to remove an old backup single deck King VRO Nav that I haven’t used for years. Does anyone make a tray to fill the hole to set your cellphone in? Or even just a plate I guess to cover up the whole? The display doesn’t work, doesn’t seem worth replacing if VOR are going to be discontinued in the near future…
  2. Do you tighten or loosen the screw? It’s been a few years and I need to add a little more fuel.
  3. My little ball on my mixture control came out. Is there instructions some where on how I can reinstall it? Doesn’t seem like a hard task, but just want to make sure I’m doing it right, and where it goes.
  4. Here’s a video, not sure if I will upload.. IMG_5561.MOV
  5. My gauge is electric so there in no cable? Anything else I can look at?
  6. Fixed the fuel gauge, it was only the right side. The needle is bouncing both ways..
  7. No, I’m just following all the wires to see if something is loose or broken.
  8. My Tach needle, and fuel gauge needles are bouncing around
  9. I’m having some electrical glitches and the local avionic shop said is sounds like a bad ground. Does the master switch ground to the panel with the mounting screws? I dropped the switch and see this wiring going to no where? Isn’t the panel aluminum? Doesn’t seem like a good place to ground anything. Any help would be much appreciated! Grant 1979 M20K
  10. I got a topend overhaul, after 75 hours the number 3 jug started to separate. He is recommending now to send do an overhaul exchange of the whole engine to fix all the problems.
  11. So I have a 1979 M20K, 75 hours into a new top end overhaul, the number 3 cylinder vibrates and broke 2 of the bolts holding it to the engine. After proper break-in procedure based at KSNA. I have done some research and from what I can find, it could of happened if the seal wasn’t prefect and over time the vibration cause the suds to break. The mechanic that did the top end doesn’t want to take any responsible and claims it’s because of the way I flew the plane LOP. He thinks all the cylinder could have been burnt up. He recommends doing an overhaul exchange at 1,000 hours it’s only $35,000. I feel like he just wants to wash his hands with everything, and cover his tracks.. Has anyone ran into similar problems? This is my first plane, and I really don’t know how to proceed....
