Trying to assist with troubleshooting since we can't get the plane back to avionics in a timely manner. The G3X has flight path boxes. They are offset because some component sees a stiff crosswind. The winds are off by a bit, which probably means the boxes are correct for the inputs received. Is the magnetometer twisted? Setting in the G3X?

Yikes.  Do you have a panel compass to compare headings?

The wind computations require multiple inputs, but that looks big enough that it’s not OAT or airspeed/groundspeed related.  Heading vs track…. I bet you've got an issue there.  Any chance that the gps magnetic variation is messed up giving a bad track?

there's a 58kt left xwind, so the plane is crabbing 15 degrees (35 CRS-20 HDG)starboard through the boxes. (I can do the trigonometry if you want)

Yes, but he said the x wind doesn’t actually exist.

The math is helpful, the fix is helpfuller.

Did you do the magnetometer calibration on a compass rose after installation?

I wasn't involved but redoing that might help.

Left wing I believe.

There’s requirements to keep it away from motors and wiring.
I would try it on the ground, checking all directions with lights/autopilot off. If it seems to be okay, then try it with lights on, roll servo operating.
