No the inventor couldn’t scale up the production and still goto college was just spread too thin i think and got burn out to boot. Maybe now that he got his degree and a job he picked back up the hobby and/or found a company willing to scale his product. If it’s  the former, that’s why i ordered 2 of them so i will have a spare in case i ever break or lose one of my other 2. The capabilities this thing has equals other devices costing in the thousands and some of those still do not have an SD card you can record hours of data on or are so big and bulky you can not fit it into an engine compartment like you can this thing it’s truly a great value for your money. I will never go back to a limiting fluke meter again.

Just so you can be wireless, which isn’t true, you still have the probes, it just uses smartphone to display.

Im not a CB, but I could buy 13 digital multimeters for that.

Not good ones, and not with two channels or recording capability.

I don't know how good or bad these things are, but they look interesting and have some unique capabilities.    If I ever need those capabilities I may buy one, but I've got a few very good multimeters and a fair number of the $5 HF units, so my needs are met by those.

I read some of the reviews and many were UNfavorable.  Questionable accuracy, slow conversion speed (seconds!).  Two channels with data logging is nice but I'm not seeing the value at $135.  I'd buy for the logging if it was $50.

As an EE, I'll stick with a nice Fluke.

I have own fluke and used oscilloscopes. This hits the right cost vs value for me. Being 24bit dac it’s as accurate as my fluke but with ability to chart data you can even hold both leads and measure your heart beat like the ekg that is now in most smart watches. Just the other day needed to find out which circuit breaker to flip to turn off a wall plug. No problem just stick the leads in the wall plug and take the phone with me to the breaker box. Start flipping till the volts go away.

So, where this thing would be good to have, is where you want to measure something in the engine compartment or the tail cone, or somewhere on your car while you are driving. You can hook it up and read it on your phone instead of running wires out the hood and in through the window.

I seriously doubt that!  Just because it advertises using a 24 bit ADC (not a DAC) that does NOT mean it has 24 bit accuracy; precision is NOT synonymous with accuracy.  Many of the complaints on-line revolved around poor accuracy.

I do agree that the 'remote' capability would be nice for the 'underhood' ability.  Still, not worth $135 to me.  Obviously, YMMV

Most meters use a dual slope converter, which is very linear at the sacrifice of speed. Most can only do a few conversions a second. But like all converters, they are only as accurate as their reference. Most references are not nearly as stable or accurate as the converter.

Most modern meters actually use a multi-slope converter that improves conversion speed and still retain accuracy.

Sure, newer implementation of the same method. 
 

I forgot to mention the scaling amplifiers/attenuators are also a significant source of errors.
