Those of you that have gone G5 and beyond,, what gave you done about the PC system? Can it be removed. We’re installing dual GI275 and wanted to remove the vacuum system but seems like that’s what runs PC

It’s inop to one side. Do you know if we were to just keep it inop, if the vacuum pump runs the step? I don’t have a crank for it

I have dual G5’s and a good working PC. I don’t see the need to remove the PC until I install an autopilot.

Vacuum pump runs the step. PC is an easy system to sort out for someone that is familiar.  The hoses behind panel need to be replaced every 7 years or so.  Used boots are available.

Yep, been through all that including the poly lines out to the servos in the wings thanks to a mouse. Pretty easy fix though. All of the poly flex tubing and fittings are all available from Parker using the original part numbers from Brittian. Have them somewhere if you need them. I just told the local supplier out here in sacramento it was for a boat.

I have an Aspen EFD with an electric back-up attitude indicator and the vacuum system solely runs the positive control.

Mine runs the TC100 (along with Electric) and the PC system. I could remove the TC100 since I have G5's. I already have kit for the Vacuum Pump removal but will probably wait till I do the AP. Nice to have the wing leveler for a bit of piece of mind in IFR.

If you have dough….

Vac is out, so is TCs…

Select your favorite Big G AI, and install a GFC500 AP…

If you don’t have said dough…

Vac is still in, but TC can still go…

The wing leveler is a valuable tool until you get a modern replacement…

This is mostly a flying in IMC concern…

Flying in VMC… the wing leveler isn’t that critical…

Flying without one is cognitively more tiring…

PP thoughts only, not an avionics guru…

Howdy. would you happen to have the boot part number availalbe? one side has a busted boot so the old a&p just removed the whole assembly from that wing in case the previous owner wanted to send it to get repaired

I have serviceable servos if you’re in need.
