Often MSCs have the travel boards, some MSCs are more skilled than others…

Using travel boards requires a fair amount of skill, effort, and time….

A well rigged Mooney is a thing of beauty… and worth the effort…

They're boards used for measuring the deflection of control surfaces in order to make adjustments for rigging.    There are other techniques, like protractors or digital levels, that work, too, but some prefer the use of the boards, which are fairly rare.

You're real close to LASAR at Rancho Murrieta whom has them, suggest you visit them.

Like any shop, I doubt they'd loan them out to anyone that isn't local and someone they know and trust. These boards are rather large and fragile to ship, in fact shipping them with protective packaging gets very expensive. Its been over a decade since an aircraft tools rental company in AZ actually did rent these out - but they had a protective case built to hold and ship them.
