Where did you get the overhaul done at?

Let’s see….

RJ had the device OH’d and said it leaked…. Not sure I would go back there…. Maybe it would be a good source to avoid?

One of the nicest updates of an ASI I have seen around here was done by @Marauder.

It included a complete refresh of the front dial with improved graphics and Kias more prominent than Mias….

Then a couple of years later… Marauder began the March towards a full digital panel….

So… compare OH costs to going digital…

PP thoughts only, not a mechanic…

I was asking because if I go that route I don't use the same place that he did. Thanks for your reply.

Mid Continent Instruments did mine a few years ago. Clean, calibrated and put a new face on the dial for around $300.

I do not have a good picture but I replaced the original ASI with one I bought from Lone Star Aero in Austin, TX.  They had the ASI face repainted.  I seem to remember that it was done by Central Texas Avionics.  It is in knots only and has a TAS movable ring.  Cleans things up and gets rid of the unneeded MPH scales.  I have a check list made into a booklet form, which has the information in the owners manual (NO POH in those days) converted to knots.
