I need to replace my hoses as part of the rebuilt of N261TA. I know I can buy generic hoses by the foot, but for the square one Savvymx suggested that I check with a Mooney service center. My thoughts are that I might as well buy them all original rather than cut to length to get the best fit. Any suggestions?

Some people here used this place http://www.fairpoint.net/~kinney/

Basically standard SCAT duct with doublers at the end and very good fit to the flanges. I ordered these for my new engine. Then there's a Gee-Bee with his ducts...

I never saw that custom square duct before. My M20F has all round ducts. On may plane they are all SCAT. Are you sure M20K has SCEET? SCEET has a liner and SCAT not.

No, I'm not sure.

The Mooney tubing is SCAT. Replace with SCEET (double wall) -- much better -- from Guy at @GEE-BEE AEROPRODUCTS. Give him the lengths and diameter and he will build to order with finished ends. If you buy bulk SCAT and cut to length, the wire will eventually wear a hole in the tubing no matter which of several techniques you use to try to secure it at the ends (I have tried them all). The SCEET will last the life of the engine.

On my K, the square one was replaced with round before my owner ship.  It appears to fit with no clearance issues.

Agree with PT20J.  Buy SCEET -- much better durability and life.
