  1. Hehe, I'm sure he will understand it.
  2. While I don't understand most of that, I have sent it to my A&P as an alternate if he doesn't get the original to work.
  3. I tried and he said he didn't get it.
  4. It has the original tach and the jpi digital neither one work. Both sensors were left on the motor when it was sent off to be rebuilt and neither came back. The JPI was easy to order the replacement but still didn't work. The original was with Bendix maga and I have Slick mags and I can't find a direct cross over replacement. I ordered a generic version and I'm waiting to see if it works. .It is based at KTRI, but Greeneville is close.
  5. I got a local A&P to put on the SCAT tubing and work on some of the details. He didn't like the condition of the airbox and said that had to be fixed first. We got that fixed last week. I am hopeful that he will start trying to fix the tachs next. Once I get them fixed I will try to get the AI to finish the annual.
  6. I just replaced the engine and mounts on my M20k. My A&P said my old mounts are still in good condition so I thought I'd see if anyone wanted them. I have no idea if they have any value to anyone, but if someone needs them I'd rather see that then for them to get trashed. This board has been invaluable to me so I want to give back. I will auction these off. The auction ends November 30th at midnight. The highest bidder will send a donation to Craig McGregor to help support this board. Bidding starts at $20.00 They are pliable to the touch with no signs of dry rot. They are Lord mounts and there is a number stamped on one that says 12-86 which may be the manufacturer date. This plane has about 1600 hours since then. I suspect they were installed in 1990 when the prior engine was installed. 3 are part J-9613-76 and 1 is part J-9613-75
  7. Thank you for thinking of me. I already got one. It was a little over $1300 from LASAR.
  8. It has been over steered and big dent in one of the tubes.
  9. Grounded at the last moment. I had a pilot with Mooney experience come by to fly it and he noticed this.
  10. I knew someone would make that comment, lol. Its two separate welds for each side of the middle plate so it does look ugly.
  11. A few pics of the jack adapter. The only reason I have square on top is that is what I had available. The purpose of the round tube on the bottom is just to keep it on the jack so it's thin wall.
  12. I made this last night from some scrap. It made the job easy.
  13. I gave up on detailed costs, but I'd say around $100k so still well under value.
  14. This mornings idea. It got us close but we were limited and determined it's not possible this way.
  15. We got the front disc out, but we found it's more difficult to put them back. We will work on it more tomorrow.
  16. Not quite, but I get your point. We are starting the nose gear now.
  17. The pilot side was a little more difficult to the get bolt out. Reassembly was easy. Working on nose gear now.
  18. Co Pilot side is done. It was super easy. We weighted the tail and jacked the wings. Removal was very simple. To reinstall we put two 2x6 under the tire and let the plane down. The weight compressed it enough to slide the bolt in. The stack in the middle are the old ones.
  19. We are continuing to make progress. We hope to finish the basic engine install today. Tomorrow we will work on shock discs, tires, gear swing, etc.
  20. Lasar replied to an email saying they do rent them. They stopped renting them for awhile so that led to some internal confusion. We have it on the schedule to work on tomorrow so we will try without.
  21. Wow! Yes, that is what I need. I just sent you a message.
