Hi, MooneyDreamr, you sound like me almost exactly 12 months ago.

I and my partner in our M20C connected with Krikor Hajian at Murfreesboro Aviation last year.  I haven't talked with him since last fall since we're now based to JWN, but he and another CFI there had a fair amount of Mooney experience.  Krikor owned an F model the last time I flew with him.  With COVID subsiding and airlines hiring now they could have moved on.

Feel free to PM me, and I can send you his contact info.

Not a CFI but could show you how to operate your airplane safely.
dual brakes?

Boss frequents Nashville, we use JWN and BNA depending on weather.

Should be in Nashville. 8/2-8/18. Might come back home.

11 year M20E owner, ATP & IA.

Welcome aboard Md!

Got any experience flying?

Or do you want me to guess how to best help you find the right CFII?  :)

Are you looking for Transition Training?

Some people are afraid to show much on the internet…. At first…

Some are afraid to show how little experience they have… a natural, but not helpful situation…

Some just didn’t take the time to say they are in their Mid 60s have been flying B747s for decades… have two other GA planes…

Some people have acquired planes with no flying experience… and today is the day they are learning how big the challenge in front of them is… :)

Give us a hint…

Best regards,

I have a 64 M20E and I am wrapping up commercial license in my E so I’m pretty familiar with the limits of the envelope but don’t  have my CFI yet.  I’d be happy to go over speeds or best practices with you though you probably need a transition instructor.  I’m heading to Dallas next week and Racine week after in the Mooney but no trips toward Nashville (yet).  Feel free to PM with any questions.

Guys, Thanks for the feedback, leads and guidance. For background I am a PP with just over 200 hours, all single engine land in a C-172; former 172 owner over 20 years ago. Was away from flying for many years just restarted fly about 4 years ago but have not logged many hours because I am too frugal to pay for some else's plane (rentals). I am eager to get back to my love of flying in a Mooney and justify it for business purposes. I'm in the medical equipment distribution business. Salute.

Md,

How are you getting along on your search?

Are you still looking for a CFI?

Best regards,
