ijs12fly Posted December 17, 2019 Report Posted December 17, 2019 But is there any notable performance improvement? 10kts, better fuel burn, maybe it pays for itself if you fly enough, maybe not. Please tell what you have both seen before vs after. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Quote
corn_flake Posted December 24, 2019 Report Posted December 24, 2019 @David Lloyd Which motor did the exhaust came from? IO360 or O360? Quote
carusoam Posted December 24, 2019 Report Posted December 24, 2019 75Cs have O360s... Best regards, -a- Quote
corn_flake Posted December 24, 2019 Report Posted December 24, 2019 I ask in case if somone STCed a IO360 into it... Quote
carusoam Posted December 24, 2019 Report Posted December 24, 2019 Expect that David will get back to you... He is a pretty skilled aviator, I would expect if it came off an IO360 he would have been more descriptive... But, stand by for David... that exhaust system looks pretty nice! best regards, -a- Quote
corn_flake Posted December 24, 2019 Report Posted December 24, 2019 Carusoam, I'm still amazed how fast you reply to most posts on this site. Perhaps the question I should be asking is, will this fit a IO-360? Quote
carusoam Posted December 24, 2019 Report Posted December 24, 2019 Learning/re-learning so much Mooney knowledge is a powerful driving force! Getting to know all the Mooney pilots... that’s a side benefit! Best regards, -a- Quote

David Lloyd Posted December 24, 2019 Author Report Posted December 24, 2019 My C has the original O-360 parallel valve 180 horsepower engine. The exhaust appears to be in very good condition. I have not removed the muffler cover but what I can see, the muffler is also in very good condition. This exhaust will not fit the IO-360 angle valve 200 horsepower engines. As far as a Powerflow pirep, I flew from the maintenance shop to a radio shop for ADSB install. Will be there 4 weeks. At 7500' there appeared to be a 3-4 knot improvement in speed. Quote
