I’m glad that was Snapple Ice Tea and not your actual urine. Because if that is your urine, you need to get to the emergency room ASAP.

I think you have a secret urine stash somewhere.

Mike and I just had BBQ with our wives who got to sit quietly and listen to us yak about Mooneys and related topics.

It was great meeting you both and Marianna enjoyed it even if it was just Mooney talk. There’s just something sexy about those correct facing tail airplanes.

Mike and Parker used to be the ‘young guns’ around MS... :)

Imagine for a moment... talking about Mooneys...  no typing on a keyboard, or tapping on a screen, Siri doesn’t change things for you...

Humor may be mis-aimed, but at least you know it was an attempt at humor...

Mini Mooney fly ins with family... sounds like a blast!

Thanks for sharing...

Best regards,

Compared to most of us old geezers, they are still the "young guns"

I've met Anthony.  He is VERY interesting.

  1. He never says something tastes like chicken.. not even chicken
  2. Superman has pijamas with his logo
  3. His tears can cure cancer, too bad he never cries
  4. The circus ran away to join him
  5. Bear hugs are what he gives bears
  6. He once brought a knife to a gunfight… just to even the odds
  7. When he meets the Pope, the Pope kisses his ring
  8. His friends call him by his name, his enemies don’t call him anything because they are all dead
  9. He has never waited 15 minutes after finishing a meal before returning to the pool
  10. If he were to visit the dark side of the moon, it wouldn’t be dark

Question.  Do you file most of the time for a particular altitude and then just go VFR?
Altitude: 8,400 ft (Planned: 8,000 ft)

FlightAware is reporting the pressure altitude he is flying at. He is at 8,000.

Yes. Well let me put it this way, I file IFR and if I need it I use it. But if they aren’t giving me what I want then I just go VFR. In this case it was 1000ft overcast in Dallas so I needed the IFR to get out. But then they wanted me higher for MOROCA IFR so I cancelled and scraped the ground VFR to avoid the winds best I could.

Normally I see only 100ft or two off, not 4.

We have had some high barometric readings this winter. A barometric pressure of 30.32 will give you in the neighborhood of 400 feet off of pressure altitude.

I flew one day in January where the pressure was over 30.50.
