Waiting to see what the installation kit will cost for the GFC500 but planning on about $10,000 for autopilot with 4 servos plus installation kit plus installation. I can give you the retail for the units if you would like for the system with 4 servos. basically each servo is $1500.00, Controller is $2900, install kits are about 700 for each servo. Quote

That sounds like about $12,800 for parts. $7000 (basic autopilot including two servos) + 2 x $1500 (trim and yaw servos) + 4 x $700 (4 install kits). Thanks for the info. Quote
carqwik Posted December 4, 2018 Report Posted December 4, 2018 If you don't have a yaw damper in your plane...you can reduce that cost by $2200 (1 servo + 1 install kit). Quote

Jesse Saint Posted December 7, 2018 Report Posted December 7, 2018 In our shop that job would cost $6,500 for the dual G5’s installed plus about $1,750 to remove the vacuum system and KFC200. Note that your electric trim may no longer work if you remove the KFC200. Quote

Also, the electric trim should work with a "Pitch Trim" servo from the GFC500, correct? Quote

Remove all vacuum instruments and lines. The electric trim from the GFC500, if offered, should work for pitch trim. Quote

It's legal with the paperwork on the table already. Also, I can't wait for my RC Allen gyro to go TU!! A G5 is on the short list of things I want to do in 2017. shoot me a PM if you need anything. -Matt Funny, I would not ask FSDO for the time of day. 1 Quote
