aviatoreb Posted December 29, 2015 Report Posted December 29, 2015 I was a FF user for years but switched to garmin pilot late last year. I find it much more well suited for copit use, but they are probably both equal for ground use. I simply love the donuts that allow you to pull up information about things on the map with a touch on the map. Quote

steingar Posted December 29, 2015 Report Posted December 29, 2015 Just out of curiosity, a number of posters have said flight planning on FF is difficult. As far as I know, you just put in the identifiers for where you want to go and there's your course. Seems pretty easy to me, but I suspect I'm missing something. Quote

I think people process things differently and what is logical to one, isn't to another. For me, I like a task oriented, flow approach. Garmin Pilot makes this happen by presenting large buttons with specific tasks associated with them. ForeFlight does the same stuff, just differently (smaller icons) and some of it is available from the main screen. That is why I was happy to see these vendors offer 30 day trials. I went a bit further and had GP and FF on my iPads for a couple of years. I just kept gravitating to the GP. Quote
