I posted this on another thread where I saw the Canadian tail number mentioned, but I'm moving it over here in the J department.  C-GAGQ is for sale, and after 20 years it's got only 154 hours on it.  The seller isn't sure what year it is, or if it has original logs.  I looked it up by serial number and it's a 1995.  It's strange to see a new airplane like this pop up in new condition after 20 years.  Might anyone know anything about it?

Very odd since it's had radio upgrades... And why the new prop? And I'd be worried about the engine not being run much...

McCandless Aircraft in Iowa had this airplane for sale last year with 140TT. They upgraded the King GPS to a GTN650 so it would sell. They had it for sale for $169900. If I remember right I think it spent its life in Iowa.

Some neophyte buyer will be all over this since it has low total time.  After a 30,000$ engine you got yourself a 200,000 dollar J.  Now ask what else that will buy.

It based in Brampton Ontario CNC3.  The owner also had a low time 252 which was sold to a member here.  It too used the same registration, colours and MT propeller.

Thanks much for the info - that's really helpful.  I'm possibly interested but it's a bit strange that there wasn't very much known history about it.

Call Tim McCandless and ask him about it  (319)232-1234. He had it for sale for almost a year.

It was in Europe, stored in an elevated rack, they ferried it back, interesting story about how they found it. Don't remember the details but the owner never flew it, so it just was stored for a long time.  It was climate controlled.  It basically is a time machine, kind of a "barn find" with a modern mooney...

would be be curious to see the results after someone buys it.
