Hi Fellow Mooney Pilots,

thought you may be interested at having a look at this.

It's a tribute to l think one of the greatest formation flights in 

history 1943 May 16,17 at midnight 19 Lancasters take of from England

fly across the channel into occupied Holland and then into Germany

scooping along just above the ground and sea, a couple of planes crashing into power lines.

One crashing in a wave, in inclement weather, the whole of Europe in a blackout.

No Gps in those days, It must have been nearly impossible to use dead reckoning at such a low height.
