  1. what else is connected, the 480 has a good number of arinc 429's
  2. DEKLIN AIU-900 AUTOPILOT INTERFACE UNIT | Aircraft Spruce was in birdy, just going to leave it connected when i switch
  3. Thumbs up, Thumbs up, makes can't wait to be able to do the same.
  4. 1800wxbrief.com can mostly get you there, once you hit brief, first thing you get is a quick chart showing you hazards and such. honestly, if they had fuel prices i probably wouldn't need anything else for planning. My second goto is now Garmin Pilot, now that they've enabled a lot of warnings and such in the map view. if you really want it on your computer, connect your phone to your computer using the "Your Phone" app, then work with the app thru your comp 8)
  5. just a thought, how much in our fuel system would have to change to support E85?
  6. Love KNEW but i swear they think their avgas is made of pure gold, 6$ plus at signature. yeah i know signature but i guess you have to pay for the amenities somehow.
  7. Museum District/Med center, def Hobby or Ellington. Honestly, the Houston class B is as NOTHING compared to Houston freeway traffic. Sugarland is REALLY nice but for just a few days, it's not worth fighting the traffic.
  8. Mooney central is KDWH, what are you trying to get to downtown? How long will you be staying?
  9. unfortunately, people are very proud of their sl30's, unless you get lucky used isn't much cheaper than a new gnc255
  10. check your brittain for leaks, Had the same symptoms due to a leaky servo.
  11. I know 2 owners that've pulled the fine wires, no idea why but they are dead set against them. I figure i'll try 4 eventually but not getting my hopes up.
  12. try searching the web for a urethane solvent
  13. way i understand it, you still carry the privs of a PPL, piece of plastic doesn't matter.
  14. I think you may need a radio capable of 8.33khz spacing
  15. I feel bad, read as cheap, my seats are new but as they kept being stepped on by passengers I covered them with a set of Autozone specials. tied them behind and under the seat as they are slightly too big. I'd bet there's something that might actually fit.
  16. Mind taking a pic? I want to put mine in the tail where the current brittain magnetic sensor is mounted.
  17. I always wondered why not run the exhaust pipes along the leading edges and against the fuel tanks. figured you'd have an enormous amount of heat available
  18. I actually like the site, find it way more convenient then my tablets when doing initial planning, esp fuel prices. use leidos or Garmin Pilot for the actual flightplan/weather brief. you can manually edit the route to remove the extra points .
  19. call http://www.wetwingologistseast.com/Contact.php, they can get you info. they work directly with jose as in give each other rides back and forth to the airport(what i was told)
  20. seriously, it all comes down to MONEY. 100% sure an engine can and has been adapted but at the end of the day, it has to be profitable and affordable. Best bet would be to sweet talk Diamond into sharing those nice Austero Diesels, i'd def put one in the mooney if it was about the same cost as the lyco
  21. I have them, sitting on a table probably never to be installed 8). Purchased fully intending to install but figured it was sooo much easier checking tire pressure without
  22. shrug, it's to the point where around houston, I cannot depend on anything vor related being operational. flew kdwh-knew yesterday 2 of the 3 vor's on my route were out. last month, randomly decided to shoot an approach into klbx oops ils was out, and of course atc didn't mention it. same, day shot the ils into kgls, vor for missed approach was out. yes, there are notams but in an emergency you'd be screwed
