GeneS Posted June 13, 2013 Report Posted June 13, 2013 Somebody please buy this beautiful airplane. http://www.controller.com/listingsdetail/aircraft-for-sale/MOONEY-M20R-OVATION2-GX/2005-MOONEY-M20R-OVATION2-GX/1266877.htm Quote
co2bruce Posted June 13, 2013 Report Posted June 13, 2013 Wow, nice plane at a good price. Should not last long. Quote
thinwing Posted June 13, 2013 Report Posted June 13, 2013 somebody is going to try to further devalue this a/c due to damage history even though repaired at the factory!!!! Quote
N1026F Posted June 13, 2013 Report Posted June 13, 2013 Nice Plane! Great price! I would ask about the "?" marks on the entries, borescope the cylinders on a pre buy, and fly it with pride. Anybody looking for more of a reduction on this plane would have to ask Jimmy Garrison why the seller laughed in his face. Quote
GeneS Posted June 15, 2013 Author Report Posted June 15, 2013 Brian Kendrick is currently doing the annual in San Marcos and can answer any questions about this plane. Brian was the Chief Inspector at the factory in Kerrville and was my factory contact for the three trips there for repairs. Gene Quote
Parker_Woodruff Posted June 15, 2013 Report Posted June 15, 2013 Wow, nice plane at a good price. Should not last long. That's what they all say...I think this seller and myself are having the same problem offloading our planes for undetermined reasons. Quote
N601RX Posted June 15, 2013 Report Posted June 15, 2013 I think when you get in the $130K plus range with a plane the pool of potential buyers is extremely small. It would be interesting to see some graphs of sell time vs price range. Quote
carusoam Posted June 16, 2013 Report Posted June 16, 2013 Buy and hold.... Never let go... Just thinking out loud.... -a- Quote
Alan Fox Posted June 16, 2013 Report Posted June 16, 2013 Holy crap , a 2005 O cant bring 230K if this is the case , they will be under 200 in 5 years , and 150 in ten......That's Amazing..... Quote
quik flite Posted June 16, 2013 Report Posted June 16, 2013 I think we all need to accept the fact that as much as we all like to say how useful they are, they are nothing more than an expensive toy ,much like a motorcycle, and there are less people with the desire and extra money necessary to experience it. Although I enjoy it, many times by the time I get to the airport and do all that is needed it is easier to drive and be assured I can come and go as needed. Quote

Mcstealth Posted June 19, 2013 Report Posted June 19, 2013 Not to mention, driving is almost always a lot cheaper. I rent. I wish I could own on my own. Enough said on this thread hijack Quote
Cabanaboy Posted June 19, 2013 Report Posted June 19, 2013 I wish i could trade my J and get her, she looks awesome. Quote

carusoam Posted July 12, 2013 Report Posted July 12, 2013 Two announcements in one day...(this and Parker and Tim on the 252 thread) Congrats to all! Do we know the new owner of the O2? David, have faith, you'll get there, it may take some time... Best regards, -a- Quote
GeneS Posted July 12, 2013 Author Report Posted July 12, 2013 Joe Gaar, Jr of Lafayette, LA is the happy new owner of N513DR. Quote
KSMooniac Posted July 12, 2013 Report Posted July 12, 2013 Congrats, Gene. I'm surprised it took so long to move. Please send Joe here if he hasn't found the site already. Quote
fantom Posted July 12, 2013 Report Posted July 12, 2013 Congrats....some nice fast Mooneys changing ownership recently. How about a 2000 310HP Eagle for $150K: http://www.controller.com/listingsdetail/aircraft-for-sale/MOONEY-M20S-EAGLE/2000-MOONEY-M20S-EAGLE/1284045.htm Quote
carusoam Posted July 12, 2013 Report Posted July 12, 2013 Nicely updated Eagle as well... Who in the J crowd is ready to move into a long body.... Best regards, -a- Quote

That useful load is terrible! Quote
Cris Posted July 15, 2013 Report Posted July 15, 2013 Yes the screaming eagle 310 hp from Midwest increases the gross to 3368 same as the Ovation. This AC may have the upgrade but not the STC Buyer beware. Quote
jetdriven Posted July 15, 2013 Report Posted July 15, 2013 Do the Screamin' Eagle conversions not come with a GW increase? That useful load is terrible! 868 LB? So full fuel and one pilot? Quote
KSMooniac Posted July 15, 2013 Report Posted July 15, 2013 I once saw an Acclaim for sale that was loaded... TKS, A/C, long-range tanks, etc. and the useful load was <800 lbs IIRC. I couldn't believe it was even technically legal to deliver such a plane since full fuel would require a ferry permit for even a 100 lb pilot. Quote
jetdriven Posted July 15, 2013 Report Posted July 15, 2013 Maybe there's more to why Acclaim's are out of production while the Beech G36 rolls on. Quote
KSMooniac Posted July 15, 2013 Report Posted July 15, 2013 I wouldn't be surprised... I'm shocked that Mooney could never figure out a way to get another GW increase instead of letting the line "devolve" into 1-2 person airplanes. Alternatively, they could've tried to squeeze weight out of the airframe... (Beech is doing that now!) Quote
