Tomahawks and Sundowners tend to not get a lot of respect, but, oddly, people who own or have owned them seem to like them.

Hmm, while I agree with your comment in regards to the Sundowner (a docile solid flying plane, Beech quality, just dog slow), I stand by my feelings towards the Tomahawk:D  (I have a soft spot for the Sundowner as I flew one only once, and my landing in it remains one of my best landings ever...suddenly we were just rolling down the runway, no perceptible touchdown at all)

I think of the Sundowner as the Pontiac Aztec of GA.   Ugly AF and not particularly good at anything.   Other than that, kind of ok.  ;)

I don't think there has ever been a plane built that is as ugly as a Pontiac Aztec!  I don't know how GM sold a single one:o

Years ago, I had a friend that bought a Rendezvous (the Buick version). I’m pretty sure they offered huge dealer incentives to move them. It was not mechanically robust. As I recall it required an expensive, mandatory transmission service or it reverted to two wheel drive.
He sort of disliked that I alway referred to it by name, but it was too “unique” to call it anything else. It was a real head turner in burgundy and grey.:P

Funniest thing I have hear is the Tesla truck is just a Pontiac Aztec in a stainless wrapper.

That new Hummer is good looking though.... for an EV.  Could put the hurt on Tesla.

I was working at a Pontiac dealership when the Aztec came out, they were hideous.

At least it didn't have all the hideous moldings that the Aztec had, that helped the appearance a little. 30+ years in GM dealerships and they have had some stinkers over the years, but the new Vette they got right. That is a beautiful car. I keep telling my wife I'm going to have my midlife crisis and buy one, but I'll probably be stuck driving the truck most of the time while she drives the Vette.

F model,is a GREAT airplane. Just sold a very nice one to move over to a VTail. Part of me ,although small part, regrets that decision..
