The big players are Oasis Aero in Minnesota, and several that use his process (Oregon and Texas) and Wet Wingologists in Florida. A new one is Houston Tank Specialists.

Price depends on one tank or both, and tank size (the range is 52-130 gallon capacity, so wide range in cost).

Everyone seems to use the same coatings, the difference seems to be the stripping process and varying opportunities for paint damage on bottom of the wings.

A real challenge right now is scheduling.

Good luck!

I just had a full reseal done at Weep No More. Paul was more than helpful and his communication was great. Price was right at what he quoted me long in advance. I told Paul that I wasn't far away from him and that I have a flexible schedule just in case he had a cancellation or could squeeze me in sooner... and he actually did. He was professional and there were zero surprises. I don't have any experience anywhere else to compare him to, but I don't plan to go anywhere else if I need tanks sealed again some day.

Oasis and WeepNoMore work closely together, but they are two separate companies, both in Wilmar, Minnesota.

Paul Beck (weepnomore) is my first choice.

Edison at WetWingologist at KFXE is my second choice.

I don't have a third choice.

I live in Texas and a Mooney-hour away from the one in Houston but I would still fly to MN or FL. Thankfully we fly airplanes and can get anywhere we want in a few hours. Many people have worked out the logistics of getting it to one of the two best shops and have had excellent experiences. I like a good deal like everyone else, but this is an area where I would pay the best people to do it and stand behind it. That being said, sometimes you don't need a complete re-seal - it may be one area that needs to be patched, again by someone that knows what they are doing to diagnose it and patch it. Dugosh did one for me once and it never leaked again.

Edison at WetWingologist KFXE stripped and sealed both my fuel tanks when I owned my M20J about 10 years ago and did a great job and was very easy to deal with. I also recommended him to a few of my friends, one with a M20R and another with a M20F and they both had good experiences. Hopefully I won’t need my Ovation done in the near future but when the time comes I’ll give Edison a call.

Edison did great with my C, too.
