Been out of the Acclaim for 2 years, looking for a few hr refresh in the DFW area. Have ~1500tt in long bodies so not needing at 101 class but always looking forward to flying with a different CFII. Put 180hr last year on the M20R. Any referrals?

I think I will renew fir an additional year and see what happens. If no meaningful changes, take place and the board continues to go in the wrong direction, I won't renew after that. I'll give them the benefit of the doubt for one more year. Darren and I were hangar mates (right next door to each other and neighbors at home). He was a huge step up for AOPA and clearly a loss. But like I said, I'll give them the benefit of the doubt for another year.

Appreciate your perspective

With all of the drama going on with AOPA, my subscription's coming up and i'm wondering if other folks are renewing or just dropping out. Over the past 20 yrs of being a member i've had mixed results in using them as a resource.

Nope, 2 "faa stnd" adults, 2 carry ons, full tanks and go. Besides my TU206G with 950 useful WITH full tanks I am not sure of many single pistons that are more then a two place. But for two adults, fuel and bags never had much thought about it.
