GeeBee Posted February 20, 2023 Report Posted February 20, 2023 High sink rate too. All in all, pretty crappy approach. Quote
MikeOH Posted February 20, 2023 Report Posted February 20, 2023 Where's @1980Mooney and his complaint about how his insurance is going to go up??? Quote

Too busy posting Mooney's that are landing gear-up or otherwise crash-landing.....When it comes to grinding aluminum into the runway, no one can say that we Mooney owners are laggards in this dubious category. Who needs "Professionals" to grind aluminum and drive up insurance rates when you can count on us Mooney owners to always be "trying it at home"?! BTW - just posted another gear-up landing in the Safety and Accident Discussion Forum Quote
47U Posted February 20, 2023 Report Posted February 20, 2023 I actually worked on that RC-135 (849) as a phase team engine inspector at Offutt AFB back in the mid 1970’s… it didn’t have the big fans on it back then. This airplane drags a wing on a regular basis… try to not get the o/b flap. There’s a lot of flex in that wing. Quote

Since you must carry insurance (otherwise, why would you care if rates increase), I'm curious what self-righteous mistake(s) you feel you are entitled to make that the rest of us should be happy to pay for? Self-righteousness is an attitude, not an event. Can’t imagine where we would find any of that around here! 1 Quote
cliffy Posted February 23, 2023 Report Posted February 23, 2023 Yes but the airplane (the big iron not the black witch) was way off centerline and short of the normal touch down zone Look and see the runway numbers go by! Way left of center and just past the runway end on the numbers Quote
