I was going to say because it was inverted ... newby this was way more original. Will be exciting to have an engine that actually flies the POH numbers.

That’s a good idea offering a clinic via zoom or podcast, no flying with pricing to match. The more education offered the better. Run with that idea Phil

Depending on what you want out of it, you could email Mapa and ask if you can buy the Training Manual (Worth it’s weight in gold)

I was surprised to see so many pilots with thousands of hours attending.

Just finished the flight portion and I am flying the plane completely different. They have a list of CFIs on their website from all over the country.

Unbeknownst to me it counts for your biannual flight review and ifr currency. Like a mini check ride but better,  accelerated stalls, simulated engine out emergency complete with landing, night flying currency, etc. 

Highly recommended.

I have an extra manual. It looks like gold right now is $1794/oz and it probably weighs a pound or two so if anyone wants to send me $28k I’ll pay for the shipping. I prefer PayPal friends and family or Venmo.

Sometimes good ideas are hard to get accepted by the people you want to have take interest….

 

This is when you stand up to the plate, and give it your best shot…

Mold the request in a light that makes it appear beneficial to everyone…

Especially for the remote people that just can’t get there…

 

The MAPA people are a safety driven organization… it’s not a place that makes a ton of money…

Somebody is going to need to know something about Zoom presentations… and how to get that done too….

 

Somebody in the organization knows how to do this… find that somebody!

And risk losing the Flomax sponsorship? And AARP discounts? And the video clips of the topless women holding speed limit signs? Say it ain’t so!

I’m all for Mooney safety and I even just recently recommended that a new owner attend one of their clinics, but my impression was that they were pretty set in their ways and not really receptive to new ideas, especially from “outsiders.”.

There probably isn’t a wider distribution of age groups in anything you will do in your life….

other than family gatherings…

 

MSers range from 20s to 90s…

One Mooney pilot is known to be 100….

I almost remember going to the other MAPA’s  ice cream party at KOSH…. 

 

It is quite possible to teach an old dog new tricks…

It just isn’t going to be a walk in the park….
